The Red Room, Installation

About

The Red Room, Installation, in/visible is a five-part interdisciplinary project (parts 1-4 documented in the Artist Book) that challenges how stories of gender-based violence (GBV) are told, received, and remembered. Curated within The Red Room, this immersive installation honours survivors and victims, inviting viewers to witness the unseen, reflect on uncomfortable truths, and question the systems perpetuating silence.

Each part of In/Visible is a distinct yet connected exploration of the visible and invisible realities of GBV through a profound engagement with print as both a political and poetic medium. Invisible project is a multi-layered and deeply considered response to gender-based violence, realised through the interplay of print, film, digital media, bookmaking, installation and VR to offer a layered response to injustice. Powerful collaborations are credited in the Artist Book.
